Winning start for Premier Colts

By Ian Richards

Hat trick for CJ, goals for Babba and Owen and a worldy for Dariah!

Difficult conditions made it a challenging start for Fc Premier colts U15's.
A great start going 1-0 up after 1 minute was just what we needed although the wind and a slope against us in the first half made it really difficult and before we knew it we were 3-1 down which was mainly due to the wind deceiving Jude with a cross come shot but then Owen made it 3-2 with some great work on the left but Bentley struck straight back to make it 4-2. An absolute worldy from Dariah made it 4-3 with one of the best goals you'll ever see, top corner from 30 yards out, Ryan and Dariah then both came close from long range, 4-3 at the break. We needed the halftime break to be honest to get to Chat to the team to get them to communicate better, keep the ball on the deck and control Bentleys main threat, the number 16. We went out for the 2nd half and it wasn't long before CJ made it 4-4 and we were playing some much better football. Through Babba and CJ we then went 6-4 up and it looked like it was going to be comfortable but another goal from Bentley made it an anxious last 10 minutes which still needed a couple of one on one saves from Jude. We saw the game out and its a start to what we hope will be a great season. Well done to everyone and a special mention to Owen and Dariah who got joint man of the match and of course CJ who got a Hat-trick and Babba who also netted. Well done all and on to next week.
